Spring is when thoughts turn to gardens and growing vegetables for the summer. My daughter and her fiancee, Kory, have a beautiful large, sunny backyard and plan to let it feed them lovely vegetables all summer. (With a little work, of course)
This is the beginning of their kitchen garden. Since they live in a rural area they have problems with deer and rabbits, and don't want all the lovely produce eaten before they can pick it. Kory designed and built this.
Here are the baby lettuces peeking out; I can just taste the salads now.
And don't forget the strawberries!
This space used to be a Koi pond. The frogs had to move on. This is very clever.
