Framed!

Love the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf?  Go here to read the other side of the story and then grab Leaving a Legacy's newest kit, "Framed",  over at Stuff to Scrap.

This is a preview of the cute kit.  Note that Kimberly made the cute pigs and wolf out of paper and scanned them and turned them into digi!  She is so clever.

I had fun with this kit, having two photos of kids "behind bars".  Fun.

And since I really wanted to scrap those pigs and that wolf, and the wolf huffed and puffed.......I had a pic of my son blowing out his birthday candles.........

It's St. Patrick's Day

It is March 17, my paternal grandmother's birthday AND my grandson Sawyer's birthday, too.  Easy date to remember, for sure.

Lee Benker's Designs over at Hummies' World has a new kit for scrapping our March photos.  A fresh, green kit, just like spring. Lots of shamrocks, too.

Here is my layout with it:

When I saw the theme, I knew it was going to be used to scrap some scanned recipes I inherited from my mother.

Scrapping Europe

I really need to focus on my photos from Europe.  They will not get scrapped on their own.  The photos are numerous but intimidate me a bit....I want the photo book to be amazing and my "mojo" just is not around. I see ideas on scrap blogs and galleries, but getting mine onto the page is not so easy.   I did read a blog entry just a few days ago about scrapping with big photos and it inspired me.  This is the first one.

I used Lee Benker's Designs template for the March template challenge.  Lee does just lovely clustering.  Me, not so much.  anyway, there ARE clusters on the layout.  Sort of.  Not quite like hers.  She had cluster guides on the template, but those intimidate me too.  Someday.

For the template go here and join the challenge.

Easter Past

I just love this kit by Leaving a Legacy Designs and plan to use it for my "vintage" Easter layouts of my kids when they were small.  Here is the first layout, showing Bunny Long Legs that I made for the kids.  The blue one for Jason eventually lost his appendages and has been gone for years.  Jenni's pink one hung around forever and finally was donated to GoodWill.  Jason was not so much keen on his...he preferred his candy.  Jenni loved hers and dragged it around for awhile.

You can get the kit I used here  If you are reading this the evening I wrote it, you can grab the kit for $2.  It goes back up to regular price tomorrow.  (the grass is just from my scrapbooking stash, the rest is the kit, the title word art was made by me in MS Word )

$2 Tuesday

It is Tuesday, and that means you can drop in at Stuff to Scrap and grab a cute kit for just $2!  Today it is an Easter kit from Leaving a Legacy Designs, Easter Peeps.  And while you are grabbing the kit for $2, be sure and grab the FREE cute mini she made to go with it.  Bonus!!  Click the image below to go to the store:

This is the Easter Peeps Kit:  Kimberly created these bunnies and chicks by hand with paper, scanned them and turned them into .pngs for the kit.  So you get the best of paper scrapping and digi!

StyleScope Collab

Hummie's World StyleScope Collab is in the store, now!  Here is your chance to scrap all those people, past and present, who dress with style!  There are even paper dolls to dress!

Click on the preview to go to the store.

I am lucky in that my Mom kept everything, including a high school journal with cutouts from fashion magazines. When I saw this StyleScope Collab, I knew it was perfect.   I scanned them in and chose a flapper for this first (of several) layout:s:

March Build a Kit

Stuff to Scrap's March Build a Kit, Bad to the Bone is live in the store. It is a must for all you dog lovers who have cute pics to scrap. All images linked.

I am on Leaving a Legacy's Creative Team and was lucky enough to get Kimberly's part early.   I do not have a dog, but I do have dog photos.   My nephew is a professional photographer and he and his wife for a time had two adorable dachsunds  and they made many appearances in adorable photo shoots.  I searched diligently on FB and found some of them.

The next layout is of my son's adorable great dane, Ella.  Thanks, Tom, for having this great photo of her on FB.   I ran several actions on it and the last one was fluorescent chalk and that was it!
